Kalapatthar
Kalapatthar, located in Nepal’s Everest Region is renowned for offering stunning views of Everest and surrounding Himalayas. Any trekkers visiting this region shouldn’t pass up an opportunity to climb to its summit and admire this view; consider doing an Everest Base Camp Trek instead or try your luck trekking High Pass Trek/Chola Pass Trek in its place for greater experience in seeing Everest first-hand!
Nagarkot
Nagarkot is a captivating locale in Nepal’s Himalayas that stands out amongst all others, boasting breathtaking 2200m views and easy transportation links with Kathmandu in two hours.
Nagarkot has quickly become my second home, where I frequent often. In all honesty, it’s hard to beat Nagarkot as an ideal destination to witness Himalayan views!
Gokyo Ri
Gokyo trek is considered to be one of the premier treks within Nepal’s Everest region, and Gokyo Ri (5340m) provides the ideal viewpoint to enjoy breathtaking views from Everest and its fourteen surrounding 8000-meter pinnacles – not forgetting Lakes, Glaciers, and rugged landscape. The views at Gokyo Ri are nothing short of incredible!
Climbing Gokyo Ri will reward you with stunning views that rival those from Mt. Everest itself. When visiting Everest region it is necessary to look out for Gokyo Ri. If your goal is Mt. Everest itself then searching for Gokyo Ri should not be left out as this peak must not be missed!
Poon Hill
Poon Hill can be considered the second-most famous viewpoint in Nepal, second only to Kalapatthar viewpoint. The hilltop is well known for the stunning dawn view it affords of Annapurna Mountain from Poonhill.
Gangapurna Mountain, Annapurna South Mountain and I Mountain are the stars of Poonhill hike. Other notable mountains with pinnacles to be viewed from Poonhill include Dhaulagiri Mountain and Hiunchuli Mountain.
Khopra Ridge
Khopra Ridge (3,660m), commonly referred to as Khopra Danda or Khopra Danda offers breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri (8167m) which is the seventh-highest mountain. Khopra Ridge can also provide glimpses of Annapurna South’s Fang Himal and Nilgiri mountains, Annapurna South itself and beyond!
Khopra Ridge departs from the traditional route from Ghorepani and Poon Hill and ventures into an area which provides stunning views of Kali Gandaki Canyon – one of the deepest canyons on earth.
